  1. Referred by Mark Wilkinson from Paragon Physiotherapy, I had just 4 months conditioning with Katy to get from being very-not-ready to get to the start line up at Banff and race the Tour Divide, a 2740mile, unsupported, mountain bike race from Banff, Canada, into the USA, down the spine of the Rockies and finishing on the Mexican border. With a programme designed by Katy, weekly studio sessions and daily home-exercises we worked as a team and got me to that start line 8kg lighter and at 55 years old, in the best shape I’ve been for 20 years. Due entirely to the strengthening gained from very specific targeted exercises under Katy’s close guidance I not only made it to the finish, but a racing finish of 56th out of 180 starters was a result way beyond my wildest dreams. Now back to ‘normal-life’ I have carried on with the programme as it’s so transformational and is seeing me keen to do more racing, maybe even try to better my time, another year, on the Tour Divide! I would recommend a programme at KT Fitness to anyone who just wants to do better, get fitter or just keep fit to enjoy life to the full!

  2. Having had a hip replacement in 2016 I needed someone who could rebuild my fitness and Katy was the person who did that. Fitness programmes are set to suit individuals and Katy’s attention to detail is brilliant. She is great at pushing you to try exercises you didn’t think you could do and is a fantastic motivator. She encourages you to maximise your potential at whatever level that is . 2 years on and I am still seeing Katy who continues to develop my fitness .
    Whatever your personal goals may be Katy will devise a great programme for you. I like her holistic approach to fitness and nutrition . For me she was indeed a great find !

  3. Katy’s sessions are brilliant so much so I have been going to her most weeks for over a year now. I enjoy that whatever the aim is I have she adapts the sessions to ensure that the goal is reached. Katy not only provides physical training but also talks through anything that is stopping you mentally from reaching potential at that time. I enjoy every session with her (even if I do tell her from time to time I hate her ) and I enjoy training with her now as a friend. Her work ethic is second to none and she is very dedicated to her job and will get you to whatever your goal is.

  4. Katy is a gifted trainer who is dedicated to improving anyone’s strength and fitness. The sessions are pitched at just the right level to push you on to the level you are after. I have found Katy very professional and thoughtful and I have improved my physicality immensely over the last year and a half that I have been going to her sessions. Recommended!

  5. I first went to see Mark and Katy suffering from sciatic pain around 3 years ago. After a full MOT I started on a plan of home exercises, running training and conditioning sessions with Katy. I have kept up the sessions with Katy, which although very challenging have kickstarted a general all round change in attitude towards health, fitness and nutrition. I am now 4 stone lighter, healthier and fitter than I have ever been at 46 years old! Thanks to the guys for helping me achieve this change.

    received to complete the challenge and the general improvement I have seen
    in my running and fitness has meant I continue to see her on a weekly

  8. I have never been one for joining a gym, all those machines, not knowing which one will help you reach your goals. So I made the decision to look for a personal trainer who could advise me on how best to achieve my target weight.
    I was very nervous on arrival as I knew I was unfit but Katy made me feel welcome and tailored my training sessions to fit my goals and fitness level. I was introduced to the punch bag (which I loved as it relieved my aggression after a hard day) tension bands, weights, ropes and much more. Katy pushed me and kept me motivated at all times. I will never go back to the gym I would much prefer to continue working with Katy.

  9. I can recomend Katy and also Mark at Paragon. At the age of 57, I decided I would run a half marathon (crazy I know). With the help of Mark at paragon adjusting my running style amd KT pushing me in the strength and conditioning I reached my goal. Not sure what the goal is for 2017 yet.

  10. I enjoy my work with Katy very much and always leave the session feeling so much better, both physically and mentally. If I had to choose a stand out moment in my sessions it would be the bouts of boxing! These sessions were Katy’s suggestion and I just love them. I would never have imagined myself attempting such an activity. This is further proof of Katy’s ability and willingness to think outside the box and go the extra mile to help encourage her clients.

  12. I didn’t have the confidence to go to the gym due to my health issues. My previous experiences of exercise were awful and was fearful of doing any exercise at all! I was quite nervous about having a personal trainer however Katy came to visit me on a weekly basis at home. She put together a training program that was challenging but manageable and make sure I do the exercises properly. Having Katy there gave me the motivation to keep going when I wanted to give up. I am now feeling fitter and healthier than I have done in years.”

  14. I have been unable to attend the gym because of injury. Katy has significantly improved all round fitness, including strength and stamina. I’ve learnt which exercises to do to target my weaknesses. I would recommend Katy to anyone.

  15. I was referred to Kate to build up my core strength and conditioning after some changes to my running style.
 We originally planned three sessions to work on my core strength and I saw an improvement straight away, the benefits were immediate as well as the sessions being stretching yet enjoyable.
I have now extended my initial sessions to continue to work with Kate on my general fitness and strength, i’m really enjoying the varied workouts, Kate is a hard task master and pushes me as hard as i need to be pushed to get the most from each session”

  16. I am a 47 year old female who has, in the past, been very fit. Over the last year my exercise schedule has lapsed and I needed to get back to peak fitness, my short term goals however were to loose half a stone and look good enough to wear a bikini on holiday. I started being trained by Katy with nine weeks to go before my holiday, I asked her how attainable my goals were and she was very positive and supportive. Katy encouraged me throughout the nine weeks and pushed me when needed, regularly reminding me what my goals were, a great incentive to keep going! She provided me with targets in the gym for each session, which ensured I kept training between my twice weekly sessions with her, in order to reach them. The workouts were carefully planned and she was more than willing to spend time making sure I was safely doing each exercise prior to starting a routine. I was very pleased on my last session, prior to going on holiday, to have reached my target weight. I feel stronger, fitter and able to keep going in order to increase my fitness level and maintain my weight.

  17. I was initially recommended to see Katy by my physio to help strengthen my back as I am suffering with hypermobility syndrome. After some initial hesitancy & nervousness on my part, I can honestly say that my sessions with Katy have worked wonders and whilst I will always have to live with this syndrome I am now able to manage this and relatively live pain free. Katy is amazingly patient and took time to understand my needs and abilities. This resulted in quickly developing an effective training programme for me with results being seen from an early stage. I would certainly recommend Katy to anybody irrespective of their requirements and overall fitness ability.
